Calico River Rapids Opens May 17th | Knott’s Berry Farm

The Southern California theme park gives us a date for when their newest attraction will open.

Knott’s Berry Farm announced that its newest attraction “Calico River Rapids” will open on Friday, May 17th. The revamped white water raft ride will take guests on a journey for new land where treacherous roaring rapids, indigenous wild life, dynamic water effects, and a variety of surprises will be encountered along the way.

Calico River Rapids replaces the former Bigfoot Rapids white water raft ride by undergoing major renovations; including new themed show scenes, more than 20 animatronic figures, and a fresh new overlay– which will connect the stories of the Timber Mountain Log Ride and the theme park’s classic Calico Mine Ride. Together they will tell the backstory about the “Ghost Town” community of Calico in the heart of Knotts Berry Farm.
